La
Gomera, the second smallest of the Canary Islands,
is only a ferry ride away from Tenerife, but is a different
world! Deep, palm tree filled ravines (barrancos) radiate
out from the lush, laurel-forested centre. It’s
a place to go to appreciate the simpler things in life
and admire the beautiful rural scenery – a walker’s
paradise or just a place to get away from the hustle
and bustle.

Valle
Gran Rey, in the South West of the island,
offers something for everyone – a lively port
and fishing village, it has several fine black sand
and pebble beaches, a good selection of bars, shops
and restaurants and with its tracks and trails it is
heaven for walkers. |
Our
apartment is in the small block, La
Condesa,and is ideally situated on the sea
front and close to all the amenities of the Vueltas
area of Valle Gran Rey. We have been letting the apartment
for the past 5 years, and in that time many people have
returned 2 or 3 times with some coming every year.
It
has one large bedroom, a lounge with a sofa bed and
a satelite TV and DVD, a
well-equipped kitchen, bathroom with a washing machine
and a balcony overlooking the sea with views towards
the smaller island of El Hierro (as below).
